Arma-Mint Sunflower Ring // Made with .999 Fine Silver
We are so excited to finally announce that Arma-Mint is now available for online sale! As many of our longtime customers know, Tommy (my other half here at Lowcountry Eclectic :) has been mastering the art of jewelry silversmithing for the past few years. Earlier this year, we opened sales of Arma-Mint pieces to a few customers and friends who have been eager to be the very first Arma-Mint collectors.
This Sunflower Silver Ring is a perfectly artistic ring and can be worn on the index finger, the ring finger, or -- my favorite-- on the middle finger as super shiny and unique statement piece. I'm pretty sure that when a ring is worn on the middle finger it is called a cocktail ring, not sure why...but images of leading ladies from the golden age of film, angling to catch the eye of the leading gentleman comes to mind. With its hand-braided, super comfortable band, it is sure to be a treasured piece that finds its way onto your hand often. This is one of those pieces that end up becoming a part of you.
Handcrafted using .999 fine silver (that's as fine as a mint can get the silver), each Arma-Mint piece is handmade by Tommy himself. The attention to detail, the original designs and, of course, the purity of the silver make Arma-Mint jewelry truly unique and an ingenuous way to store wealth. We call it 'wearable bullion'.
PLEASE NOTE: In order to avoid fraudulent purchases, your order will need to be confirmed via email. Amanda will email you via the email address you submit at checkout to confirm your order. The order must be confirmed via email before your bracelet can be shipped so that shipping info can be confirmed.
WHY .999 FINE SILVER?
Pure Silver is Hypoallergenic
Most silver jewelry is made with sterling silver which is an alloy of silver and copper, but it is not pure silver. Because sterling silver contains 7.5% copper, it tarnishes easily and requires regular polishing. Also, many people think that they are allergic to silver when in fact they are having a reaction to the copper in the sterling silver. Pure silver is hypoallergenic. One of our daughters has always had trouble with irritation when she wore sterling silver jewelry, but she can wear pure, fine silver jewelry all day long with no problems at all. If you ask most jewelers why they use sterling silver to create jewelry, they will tell you that pure silver is too soft. We have not found that to be the case because there are techniques by which pure silver can be made durable and perfectly suited for jewelry.
Pure Silver is a Store of Wealth
Made with .999 fine silver, Arma-Mint jewelry pieces are an all occasion form of 'stealth wealth'. Silver, along with other precious metals, have been an unfailing store of wealth since time began. The history of precious metals and their power to stabilize compromised currencies and economies is a topic worthy of any one's study. Pure precious metals provide a way to exit the predatory currency schemes of our world today. Fractional reserve banking, fiat currency, at will money printing and usury have been the ruin of many souls. It is beyond time to end the Fed here in the US as well as all bankster cabals on the face of the earth. Precious metals are the money God made for us so that we have a medium by which to honor each other as we engage in commerce and trade. Every fiat currency in history has failed and required recreation or revaluation based on the value of precious metals. Knowing that, I am sure you can see that pure silver jewelry is one of the most shrewd investments possible.
We source our .999 fine silver from a domestic silver supplier of respected reputation and record. The sheet, wire and shot (industrial forms of pure silver) are all guaranteed to be .999 pure silver, thus we guarantee our Arma-Mint jewelry is as well. But if you have some non-numismatic bullion that needs to be reincarnated into jewelry, we can do that also. Because we know that what happened to citizen owned silver coins/bullion in the US in 1934 is still very possible today ;)
There is NOTHING like the brilliant shine of pure silver
The fact is that pure silver simply outshines sterling silver jewelry. Pure silver has a distinct resonant sound, a peculiar dense weightiness and an unmistakable luminosity about it. If you have read the Lord of the Rings books, or seen the films, you may recall the metal called 'mithril' that Tolkien wrote of as being especially beautiful and bright that is was akin to starlight. After working with fine silver for the past few years, we have begun to suspect that pure, fine silver was the inspiration for that mythical metal of Middle Earth lore.
